Modern life is extremely competitive and very demanding. Your job or health is a complex subject and it’s not easy to maintain and grow at the workplace unless you know how to charge your batteries, regularly.

We all need energy and enthusiasm every day, every hour. But are you sure about your energy source? The food that you consume, the thoughts that hit you, the friend circle that you keep, are you sure about it?

Think about the life of this coffee lover, his/her day won’t kick start without a super strong double shot of caffeine, This person is also addicted to a few drinks of alcohol in the evening to get to sleep or else he can’t hit the bed. He or she has simply outsourced the energy intake source. I am sure you have known people who use adrenaline to get things done in life and at the workplace and unfortunately, they are the modern-day “heroes”.

Such people always over-promise and force crazy deadlines on the team and even themselves. Such people are called ” energy vampires “, they get their energy from petty frictions and ego hassles at the workplace. They create a fire and also turn into a champion firefighter, regularly.

Let us try to find better resources to find our energy elsewhere:

1. Let’s realize that we need our energy, regularly, and check if the source is unhealthy or polluted. There was a time when you were ok with regular tap water but later you tried filtered water. Once you have tasted better quality, once you switch, you will not like to go back.

2. You have taken this step for your betterment. Acknowledge and congratulate yourself for the brave step. Observe your activities, the people in your life, your commitment, and your goals. Do you need to change your habits?

3. Be specific. Identify and just eliminate the top three most toxic sources from your life in 30 days. Take charge, look for support, and a life coach who can help you.

4. Look for clean and healthy places which can help you charge your batteries. Identify new friends, new habits, and healthy food. Go slow but steady, these new habits or people may not give you that high-octane adrenaline rush but you will adapt.

It’s a process and you will eventually see this positive energy flowing through you.
